Veteran's Day

A few months ago I formally announced my candidacy for the first congressional district in Virginia. But today I would like to renew that announcement. On this Veteran’s Day, I want to not only thank all those who have served and who are currently serving, but I want each and every one of them to know that they will never have a better advocate in Congress than me.

My declaration today comes from having served for 25 years in the U.S. Army with the best that America has to offer. Our veterans, who at some point in their lives, wrote a blank check made payable to the United States of America for the amount of up to and including their lives. With that they deserve and will always receive the utmost respect and service from me when I am in Congress. And I am asking that you join me in that declaration in the comments section below.

Last week I received the endorsement of Joe Harmon, chairman of the Veterans and Military Families Caucus of the Virginia Democratic Party. With his endorsement, Joe let his voice be heard to all Veterans that they are going have a good friend when I represent this district.

So please take a moment on this Veteran’s Day to post a message in our comments section about what this day means to you and how you are observing it. Or just say “thanks” to a Veteran in your family or in your circle of friends.

Today we’re not asking for your money. We’re just asking for your voice. We should never take for granted the freedoms that we have, and never forget who has and continues to pay, and in some cases has paid the ultimate sacrifice.

This is why Veterans Day is so special.

Thank you and may God bless all our men and women who serve and have served our nation, and just as importantly the families who support them.

Scott

Thanks Veteran's

I am still serving, but I am thankful every day to all Veterans who wrote a check that we cannot repay and that they willingly forgave us of that obligation. Veterans and their families have secured a way of life here in America that is unmatched throughout the world and beyond value. Thank you for all of your service. Remember our Veterans; thank them and stay active in the political process of our government that they have preserved.

God Bless Our Veterans

God Bless our Veterans (past and present) as they truly represent the best America has to offer. I was priveleged and honored to serve in the Army for 30 years and retired on 1 January 2007. I've served with a lot of tough Soldiers but I'm amazed at the Warriors we have serving in the ranks today. I continue to be amazed at their sense of duty, courage, commitment, and honor. Today, I'm fortunate and blessed to have a job that is centered around helping our servicemen and women....many of which are on their 3rd, 4th, and 5th deployment since 9/11. I pray that you thank God for them every day. I've known Scott since 1994 when we served together in Washington, DC. He is the real deal! I hope you help Scott get elected so he can remind our elected officals in Washington about the values that made this country so strong and great. We need more veterans in Congress and Scott Robinson will lead the way.

God Bless our Veterans and God Bless America

Today I am calling all of my Veteran friends and writing letters to all of my Veteran family members. Reconnecting with them and thanking them for thier service is something I forget to do too often.

Parent's Pride on Veteran's Day

We are grateful for this opportunity to join others in thanking the Veterans who have served America's purpose in maintaining peace and good governance in a troubled world. We are also proud of our soldier son, actively serving in his 12th year.

Veteran's Day

My father was part of "the greatest generation" and defended our country on the Pacific front in WWII and we celebrate each year thanking all Veterans for being willing to make the ultimate sacrifice defending our country and our freedom, as we reflect on the American flag in our family room that covered his coffin when he was burried in 1991. Scott your service in the military was remarkable and for that I thank you, however, I expect your service in Congress will find the same success and benefit to our nation. Keep up the focus and drive!

Thanks Scott

We often forget the sacrifices the men and women of the Armed Forces make every day to serve our Nation. I was fortunate in serving with Scott and I can't think of a better person to represent the 1st District of Virginia. Scott, thanks for your service and thanks for taking the challenge of running for Congress. Mike J

Why I'm Running

On August 3, we began our campaign to take back the First Congressional District of Virginia. As we set out on this mission, I am reaching out to all of our partners in this effort to talk about our campaign. My roots in Virginia’s Northern Neck instilled within me the value of honesty, hard work, and accountability. In building my family, improving my community, and serving my country these were the principles that guided me, and they will be the guiding principles of our campaign.
